Limited Edition Imperial Stag, 9% ABV

Imperial Stag is a lovely, warming, winter version of Exmoor Stag, brewed at 9%. This is a special, micro-batch brew of a limited run of just 50 bottles.

NOTE: In the spirit of fairness, we have a one bottle per person limit.

These bottles have been conditioned in the traditional way, so care should be taken when pouring and storing to avoid disturbing the yeast sediment.

Imperial Stag 9%. Dark mahogany brown in colour, head dissipates quite swiftly. Nose has chocolate, caramel, a slight hint of marzipan and a warm waft of alcohol.

On the palate, you would not think that it was 9% as the alcohol is well-integrated and embedded into the beer. Good carbonation, a good balance between the comparative stillness of bottle-conditioned beer and the prickliness of carbonation.

There’s chocolate, biscuitiness, fruity esters almost like bubblegum, dried fruit, alcohol well integrated, almost vinous. Rich and warming, with a custodial suite of flavour established on the palate.
